Southend-on-Sea Borough Council : 13th December
The future direction for libraries in Southend has now been officially agreed

  • There will be an east hub library on a new site in Delaware Road, Shoebury, replacing Friars and Thorpedene Libraries
  • Leigh and Kent Elms will both become hub libraries with a mix of paid and volunteer staff
  • Southchurch and Westcliff will be managed by the community
