Author Alan Gibbons has set up this campaign and has some very useful stuff.
- Libraries for Life for Londoners
(LLL) – Umbrella organisation for London groups
- Tim Coates
sometimes controversial blog by ex-bookseller and publisher but also library supporter, Tim Coates.
- CILIP
The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals – the professional body for librarians in the UK.
- DCMS
The Department for Culture Media and Sport is reponsible for libraries in England.
- MLA
The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council the quango (sorry – non-departmental public body) rpoviding advice to libraries of all types in England
- CyMAL
Museums, libraries and Archives: Wales – the Welsh counterpart of MLA
- UNISON
is the trade union which organises most library staff.
- LGIU
The Local Government Information Unit ‘provides support to councils and champions democracy’. It is funded by local authorities and trade unions
- Libraryweb
a site maintained by a Campaign member with all sorts of interesting library related stuff.
- Heart of the school
A new (October 2011) site to advocate for school libraries.
