Uploading Files

To upload photos to the web site

Print out these instructions so you can follow them.

Convert the photos to web-sized JPEG files

  1. Install IrfanView (in a new window) (free image conversion software)
  2. Collect the photos into a single folder
  3. Run IrfanView (it adds an entry to your Start menu)
  4. File > Batch Conversion/Rename (or type 'b')
  5. Locate images directory via 'Look in' field
  6. Click a file & 'Add' or just 'Add all'
  7. If necessary, click the 'Browse' button to select Output Directory
  8. Select 'Batch Conversion'
  9. Click 'Set advanced options', choose 'Resize' to width=300 pixels
  10. Click 'Start' button
  11. Selected images should now have been converted to jpg files suitable for the web and saved in 'web' location

Upload the images to the web site

  1. Launch Internet Explorer
  2. Go to www.librarycampaign.com
  3. 'SignIn as YourName
  4. Go to page you wish to edit, click 'Edit text'
  5. Click link at bottom to 'Upload a new file' (opens in new window)
  6. Choose image (from above)
  7. Enter username & password
  8. Click 'Send File'
  1. Highlight all of 'Write text here...' and copy to clipboard
  2. From Taskbar, select previous IE window
  3. Paste clipboard text into editing window, amend as required
  4. Click the 'Save' button bottom right
  5. Repeat for each image

It sounds harder than it is!
