In Wolverhampton the citywide campaign group Save Wolverhampton Libraries reports that they has been working away for months to save and protect their city’s libraries.

The Council will announce the future of libraries on 5th December 2012. The campaign group  are not hopeful – their recent ‘consultation’ was poor and details were unforthcoming.  The Council claims that they are not closing libraries –  but the campaign group begs to differ. However the campaign group has one success to report –  Penn Library in Wolverhampton has been saved (quite what saved means however they wait to find out!) Other libraries in our city are looking doomed.
